Natasha is first to find him alone and adrift, and with Maria's help, takes him in hand.

sunspot: an angel reaching forward with a lit candle (angel light)
For [livejournal.com profile] robotbigbang, I got to make art for [personal profile] kalloway's fic Lost Dawn & The Box of Dreams.

Here's the mix I made to go with it. It's an original fic set in the Outlaw Star universe and it's basically an all-girl group of totally kick ass smugglers in space. I think that is relevant to everyone on my reading list, just saying.

So check out the fic and then check out the mix!

Author's Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] au_bigbang '12. I had a great time with my artist, [livejournal.com profile] hollymarchosias, so thanks a million :) Huge thanks to the mods for a good round and to Chat for their support and motivation. This is my first attempt at anything remotely steampunk/sweepingly world building.

Stripped of name and rank, the former Queen Sophie takes up with a band of brigands and miscreant thieves aboard an airship, The Tumbler's Fall. Captained by a strange young girl and crewed by the oddest assortment of people Sophie could imagine, the plan is to ship out for lands unknown and treasures undreamed of. Things aboard The Tumbler's Fall don't always go according to plan, it turns out...

Author's Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] au_bigbang '12. Many thanks to my lovely artist, [livejournal.com profile] king_stitch, and my fantastic and ever patient even though I so didn't deserve it beta. Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] road_rhythm for saving my smut when all hope was lost. Thanks always to chat, for putting up with my whining, and thanks to the AU Bang mods for another great round.

This story is basically 0% like the story I set out to write, but I'm actually pretty pleased with the direction it chose to take.

All that love, all those mistakes; what else can a poor man make?
- Josh Ritter

After a life on the street and now a job at a run down community centre, Clint classifies himself as a hard-and-fast pessimist. Until he gets the stuffing knocked out of him by a local street gang and suddenly his life is like a bad rom-com, complete with the boy with the smile that makes his knees weak, the ever-helpful matchmaking best friend, gratuitous Abraham Lincoln, and one or more cracked ribs. Okay, maybe he's still a pessimist...

On the eve of her first international tour, worldwide pop superstar Parker, is plagued by fear, doubt, and regret over the choices she's made. Her pre-fame best friend (Eliot) has suddenly reappeared in her life, the new DJ (Alec) is a touch too familiar for comfort, and maybe Parker's libido is out of control.

They're all in for a very interesting tour.

And uh, just for the record, I've been writing this since way before The Girl's Night Out Job aired. Just in case that question comes up.

Hardison built a robot to fight, but he gave it artificial intelligence to win. He didn’t expect it to come to life and for it to become such a big part of his life.

All of the gratitude to [livejournal.com profile] pyalgroundblz for the creating absolutely fantastic art and one of the best mixes I've ever heard. I am very happy to have gotten to work with such a great artist.

I also want to thank [livejournal.com profile] inkruns for being herself, always.

And oh, [personal profile] sparrowshellcat drew fanart. (Moderately NSFW, a little spoiler-y for the fic)

Leverage is the hot, exciting place on the restaurant scene these days, thanks to its hot, exciting executive chef, Eliot Spencer. New hire Alec Hardison is a mild mannered, smooth talking waiter by night and a double-life-living, top secret culinary school student by day. Together, they'll cook up some sizzling dishes... both in and out of the kitchen.

One of the mysteries of the universe is why Parker, of all people, gets the ability to see a soul after it departs the body of the recently deceased. They're glittery and she's Parker, so of course she starts picking them up, not knowing what they really are. Of course, she could just look in the instruction manual... but oh, no, Hardison's taken it.

Then the hellhound shows up and starts eating the doors off her cupboards, and Eliot is breaking into people's homes to threaten them with tape and knives. It's been a very stressful couple of weeks and all Parker wants is a vacation, or a nice, relaxing art theft, but now the forces of darkness (whatever that means) are bent on destroying the world. And then, if she somehow ever gets that mess sorted out, Hardison's been complaining that all his Hot Pockets taste like doom...

beta'd by [livejournal.com profile] character_bleed

Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: R (adults only)
Length: 45 000 words in 5 parts.
Warnings: Virgin sacrifices, reincarnation, body transformations, epic levels of manpain all over the place, shouting, sex, language, violence, mildly disturbing themes, puppies, ice cream, rainbows, blasphemy, semi-graphic torture, character death, het, slash, angst, goldfish, consensual fraternal incest.
Pairings: Gabriel/Sam/Castiel/Dean; (minor Sam/Gabriel, minor Castiel/Gabriel, minor Sam/Dean).

In order to stop the apocalypse, Dean kills Lucifer -- saving the world, and dying in the process. But Dean's journey is far from over -- the pact he made with Lillith for his soul did not end when an angel pulled him from depths of hell.

After the apocalypse, Castiel and Sam are left to pick up the shattered pieces of themselves. In the wake of Dean's death, things are not as easy as they used to be. Castiel finds himself trapped on Earth, with no hope of returning to the only home he's ever had, while Sam tries to remember who he is without his brother.

Man and angel have nothing in common, aside from their mutual bonds to a man now dead and a future they must forge together, now that the hands of fate have released them. And they will find a purpose, find out who they are, and more importantly, will find a reason to keep going... even in the face of danger, even with the knowledge with every passing second, Sam is closer to the end of his life.

And when he is gone, Castiel will be alone. Forever.
