WIP Snippet Meme

Post the first sentence (or three) from every WIP you're currently working on, even if it's very short. Then invite people to ask questions about your WIPs. With any luck, you'll get talking about writing, and the motivation to take that WIP one step closer to completion will appear as if by magic!

    Supernatural Fic
  • Sam, my favourite sister
I'm really sorry but I won't be able to make it to your extra feminine dinner party tomorrow. Castiel and I are heading to Montana in about six minutes (but I didn't tell you that). You were right about the drug money getting laundered through that guy's son's gas station. Seriously, Sam, you should stop being whiny and stubborn and just apply here already. Even Cas thinks you'd be awesome at it.
Say hi to Dad for me, hopefully see you guys for Easter!
    Dean

  • People had died in Dean's tenure at the sheriff's department, but Dean never feels like this after. The sun rises hot and tormenting over Charity and is beating down in full force by the time he gets to his desk that morning.

  • Leverage Fic
  • The four thirty in the morning phone call wasn't entirely a foreign concept to Hardison, but it was something he hadn't had to live through in a while.

He squinted to read the number on the cell phone screen before he answered. "Eliot, if you're calling because you're naked, alone, and handcuffed to a cheap motel bed frame, I don't give a fuck this time," Hardison said.

  • Hardison turned and looked through the swinging kitchen doors. "I guess we could stay for a bit. We're not exactly dressed for a wedding though."

"Really? I think you look hot in your whites..."

Hardison laughed. "Yeah, okay, you win."

  • Twenty-two months ago, when Parker was just a regular girl, things were a lot more simple. She was still a girl now, of course, though there were tabloids out there that were convinced otherwise, but now she was also the number one selling, chart topping, most talked about pop star of the decade. So that complicated things considerably.

  • "No, Hardison, we should give him space." Parker's usually the one to ignore personal boundaries, so Hardison knows she must really mean it. He doesn't bring it up again.

Then, of course, Parker is the first one to find Eliot. She doesn't use the internet or GPS tracking or a secret list of contacts, she just thinks for a second about where she would go if she was Eliot and she didn't want anyone to bother her.

  • For as long as Alec Hardison could remember the first day of school was one he looked forward to for weeks. New shoes, new pencils, new friends to make, and Nana saying how proud she was of him.

  • It was Thursday the third. Nothing good ever happened when the third on the month was on a Thursday. Starting the day knowing that nothing good was going to happen and having an extra bottle of Jameson's on hand was the only way to survive it intact. That was Nate's philosophy, anyway.

  • Original Stuff
  • I don't remember how we fell in love, I just know that we did. But then she drowned and I've been feeling pretty shitty since then.

  • Tucker was born in March, so by the time he was old enough to run around outside, all the snow had melted. He was every ounce a summer puppy.

Seriously, I'm just the worst at finishing things. There's at least 5 other ones I didn't post on account of actual royal suckage (yes, that includes ~AIR GUITAR AU~)
