And though it makes me a little queasy, here's a link to the thing I wrote that I like the best. I wavered; there's 2 that I like, but this one wins on account of banter. Also, it's shorter, so anyone who wants to read it will be tortured a little less.
The Secret Waiter Job, written for AU Big Bang. Leverage Restaurant AU, Eliot/Hardison, warnings for strong language, lots of knives, and spanking. 23k, rated R.
Leverage is the hot, exciting place on the restaurant scene these days, thanks to its hot, exciting executive chef, Eliot Spencer. New hire Alec Hardison is a mild mannered, smooth talking waiter by night and a double-life-living, top secret culinary school student by day. Together, they'll cook up some sizzling dishes... both in and out of the kitchen.
So basically, if it's not a big bang or Porn Battle, I won't write it. >.< Going to expand my ficcing horizons in 2012. More fandoms, more writing for fun and pleasure, more WORDS. Yes, I signed up to "get my words out". We'll see how that goes. :D

Eliot wasn't readily apparent on any of them, so he set up a triangulation on the last time Eliot's ear bud had sent or received a signal so he could try narrowing it down.
( 'I can hear you. Have you found him?' Nate said, unimpressed with Hardison's imitation of him. )

Fic: The Secret Waiter Job
Aug. 12th, 2011 11:39 amEliot Spencer was being hailed as the hottest new thing on the food scene since the oven, and while that was great for business, Hardison didn't really see what the big deal was. Yeah, the food at Leverage looked good, but Hardison wasn't convinced by that alone. Seeing was not everything. It had to taste good too. Not that he could judge the taste; he hadn't eaten anything Spencer had cooked yet, and he was expecting it to be a few more years before he could afford to eat at Leverage on his own dime. But wait staff like him sometimes got asked to be guinea pigs for new dishes or got leftovers after a service, so he figured it was only a matter of time until he found out exactly what Spencer could do and if he lived up to any of the hype.
( And Alec Hardison would be the first one to admit that he was a little weird about food. )

The plan has seven steps, and Sam writes them all down on a diner napkin while he, Dean, and Cas have lunch.

#4 - Castiel gets thingy, brings it back to HQ
#5 - Sam and Dean eat pancakes, watch movies, and wait for Cas to finish with steps 1-4
#6 - Figure out what the thingy is and does
#7 - Profit (by stopping the apocalypse)
Castiel isn't thrilled, but Sam and Dean both agree it's a pretty decent plan and that's two against one.
"The beauty is in the simplicity," Dean says, slurping his coffee noisily.

It's been a very stressful couple of weeks and all Parker wants is a vacation, or a nice, relaxing art theft, but now the forces of darkness (whatever that means) are bent on destroying the world. And then, if she somehow ever gets that mess sorted out, Hardison's been complaining that all his Hot Pockets taste like doom...

The Tunnel of Love, Dean had pointed out, would be a much more appropriate place for Sam and Castiel to be making sappy puppy eyes at each other. Sam only had to think about it for three-hundredths of a second before he agreed.
( The darkened tunnel, romantic swans and tinkling music would be great for getting Cas in the mood for more than eyes, wink wink nudge nudge say no more. )
