Beta'd by [personal profile] tsukinofaerii.

Fandom: Avengers - Movie 'Verse
Relationships & Characters: Natasha Romanov/Maria Hill/Steve Rogers, implied Natasha/Romanov/Maria Hill, Tony Stark
Rating: NC17
Word Count: 18,000
Warnings/Content Notes: sexual content, strong language, miscellaneous Steve angst, pegging, oral sex, potentially improbably orgasms.
Author's Notes: Written for [community profile] polybigbang '12. Huge thanks to my awesome artist, [personal profile] croissantkatie for being flawless and ever so patient.

The twenty-first century isn't somewhere Steve wants to be. He feels lost, a mess of anger, regret, and a longing he can't work out, unable to make any lasting connections or shake the feeling of loneliness despite being constantly surrounded by people. Natasha is first to find him alone and adrift, and with Maria's help, takes him in hand.

sunspot: an angel reaching forward with a lit candle (angel light)
It was a defense mechanism more than anything else, the running away. Steve had never run before. Someone told him once if he ran away he'd never be able to stop, that he'd always be running. That was then, and this is... not then at all. He could run now because he was confident he'd be able to face whatever caught up with him. Since the serum worked, he'd survived more in the few months (and the subsequent decades) than he ever thought one person could withstand. If he was still around after all that, then yeah, he was pretty confident he could take on anything.

Except the pity. Damn. )

Title: Such A Depressing Box of Tapes
Fandom: Supernatural
Relationship(s)/Character(s): Sam/Dean
Rating: PG13
Word Count: 600
Warnings: set during Mystery Spot, so have some canonical character death
Summary: Dean dies on a Wednesday and doesn't come back. Relearning to live after that is a struggle for Sam.
Author's Notes: Written to go with this art, 'cause there ain't no party like a badbastion livestream fandom party. (art nsfw!)

Sam wakes up two minutes before the alarm and turns it off before it can blare in his ear. He can't stand hearing the classic rock every morning, but he tunes to the classic rock radio station first thing in every new motel room, right after he locks the door and remembers how to breathe again.

It's been forty-one days since Dean died for the last time. )

I made this mix aaaaages ago (and it shows in the cover art, omg) to accompany The Waiting Job, my Leverage zombie apocalypse story. The link went funny, so I had to reupload it, and then I realized I never posted it here. So here. :D

Zombie Mix )
sunspot: an angel reaching forward with a lit candle (angel light)
For [ profile] robotbigbang, I got to make art for [personal profile] kalloway's fic Lost Dawn & The Box of Dreams.

Here's the mix I made to go with it. It's an original fic set in the Outlaw Star universe and it's basically an all-girl group of totally kick ass smugglers in space. I think that is relevant to everyone on my reading list, just saying.

So check out the fic and then check out the mix!

Title: A Tachyon Is Just A Sub-Atomic Particle With No Taste
Fandom: The Avengers
Relationship(s)/Character(s): Clint Barton, Bruce Banner, Natasha Romanov, Jane Foster
Rating: PG13
Word Count: 1600
Warnings: none
Summary: Clint is failing Professor Banner's class by a wide margin and gets asked in to the Professor's office to discuss the situation.
Author's Notes: Thank you to [personal profile] cantarina for the beta and for telling me when my fic starts getting creepy. And for always helping me with titles, though any bad-titling is still my fault. <3

It'll fulfill your science requirement, they said.

You'll love the professor, they said.

He makes the class so fun, they said. )

sunspot: girl in striped shirt holding a wooden boat (sailing ship)
The sun was rising over the walls around the city, lighting up the rooftops and making all the tiled ones shine like everything was on fire. It was just another beautiful sight that Sophie had never noticed before. She'd seen so many sunrises and sunsets from inside the city walls, but she'd never really considered how lovely it was.

It took sitting alone in the prison tower, waiting for her sentence to be handed down, for her to really appreciate it. )

The Tumbler's Fall

By [personal profile] sunspot, aka: [ profile] unavoidedcrisis.
Collaborative artwork by [ profile] hollymarchosias.
Beta'd by [ profile] cherie_morte and [ profile] sigrundora.

Fandom: Leverage
Relationships & Characters: Sophie/Parker, past Sophie/Nate, Hardison, Sterling, Eliot, Nate, Tara
Rating: PG13
Word Count: 12,400
Warnings/Content Notes: mild implied violence
Author's Notes: Written for [ profile] au_bigbang '12. I had a great time with my artist, [ profile] hollymarchosias, so thanks a million :) Huge thanks to the mods for a good round and to Chat for their support and motivation. This is my first attempt at anything remotely steampunk/sweepingly world building.

Stripped of name and rank, the former Queen Sophie takes up with a band of brigands and miscreant thieves aboard an airship, The Tumbler's Fall. Captained by a strange young girl and crewed by the oddest assortment of people Sophie could imagine, the plan is to ship out for lands unknown and treasures undreamed of. Things aboard The Tumbler's Fall don't always go according to plan, it turns out...

sunspot: drawing of a girl in a kilt and hoodie with a chainsaw, splattered red (i behave most of the time)
Clint won another round of Spider Solitaire. The night shift case worker had scarlet fever and Jan had beaten him at seven out of thirteen rounds of Rock Paper Scissors. So here he was, the third of four double shifts. He sipped his terrible coffee and started another round of cards.

It wasn't like he was slacking off or anything. )

If Clint had thought that becoming a well-known presence at the community outreach centre would protect him from getting rolled by gangbangers in the street, well... he could add that to the list of things he'd been very, very wrong about.

He spent a half-second reflecting on this as he hit the pavement. )

All That Love, All Those Mistakes

By [personal profile] sunspot, aka: [ profile] unavoidedcrisis.
Collaborative artwork by [ profile] king_stitch.
Beta'd by [personal profile] tsukinofaerii.

Fandom: Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Relationships & Characters: Clint/Steve, implied Thor/others, Steve/others, Clint, Steve, Thor, Jan
Rating: NC17
Word Count: 19,500
Warnings: strong language, sexual content, discussion of prostitution
Author's Notes: Written for [ profile] au_bigbang '12. Many thanks to my lovely artist, [ profile] king_stitch, and my fantastic and ever patient even though I so didn't deserve it beta. Thank you to [ profile] road_rhythm for saving my smut when all hope was lost. Thanks always to chat, for putting up with my whining, and thanks to the AU Bang mods for another great round.

This story is basically 0% like the story I set out to write, but I'm actually pretty pleased with the direction it chose to take.

All that love, all those mistakes; what else can a poor man make?
- Josh Ritter

After a life on the street and now a job at a run down community centre, Clint classifies himself as a hard-and-fast pessimist. Until he gets the stuffing knocked out of him by a local street gang and suddenly his life is like a bad rom-com, complete with the boy with the smile that makes his knees weak, the ever-helpful matchmaking best friend, gratuitous Abraham Lincoln, and one or more cracked ribs. Okay, maybe he's still a pessimist...

Title: Going Down Swinging
Fandom: Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Relationship(s)/Character(s): Ike/Boyd
Rating: NC17
Word Count: 2,285
Warnings: Rough sex, some description of injuries sustained in a fight, vague dub-con quality to the encounter to start with.
Summary: Ike hasn't been spending much time in camp lately, after a fight goes horribly awry. Boyd finds him practicing alone and they make a little bet and work out some lingering tensions.
Author's Notes: I have ship them like burning since 10 minutes into my first play through. It's just a fact. And I have a soft spot for green haired people.

There was a peal of thunder off in the distance, but Ike judged the storm to be at least an hour off. )

Text: Two Hearts With Accurate Devotion
Author: [ profile] brodinsons
Reader: [personal profile] sunspot
Fandom: MCU (specifically, Thor)
Relationships & Characters: Thor/Loki
Rating: PG13
Length: 5:04
Author's Summary: okay so this is your cyborg porn and since my knowledge of how that actually works is sadly lacking, enjoy my completely fabricated version of said events.
Warnings: ... do I need to warn for incest in this case? Consider this a warning.
Reader's Notes: So this popped up on my dash and I screeched and screeched and screeched, as one does when cyborg incest smoochin' appears before your eyes as if handed to you by cyborg Abraham Lincoln himself. And then I was compelled to record it because of the reasons I just said. Recording contains little to no screeching though.

Read the truthful account: The Inaugural Meeting of an Affectionate Devil and a Gentleman, Leading to the Formation of Infernal Intentions and the Seeking of an Address (The First Part of The Most Earnest Report Regarding Deliciously Deviant Devils, Acutely Admirable Americans and the Increasingly Inadvisable Intimacies Between Them)
As penned by the shining smith of words: [personal profile] tsukinofaerii
Recounted to you now by the humble storyteller: [personal profile] sunspot
This story bears the elements of the universe: Marvel Adventures: Avengers with a generous helping of the Echo Bazaar.
Relationships & Characters: Contains the most Romantic Liasons and Shocking Affairs between Captain Steven G. Rogers of the U.S. Armed Forces and the Affectionate Devil Anthony Stark. Also featuring the Valiant Devil, James Rhodes.
Suitable for humans and creatures: Teen and up
Length: Thirteen minutes and twenty-four seconds.
To summarize a long story short, in the interest of time: When Anthony Stark, (the Affectionate Devil) bumps into a newcomer in the Neath, he absolutely has to know more about this particularly delicious soul.
One should be aware of the following notes of concern: Exceptionally affectionate prose (fluff), occasional mentions of Violence most unsettling (mentions of casual violence), Scandalous Tails and Various forms of Deviltry. May also warn those new to the Neath of the future which lies before them (spoilers for the game)
Notes from the Teller: I am neither confirming nor denying that I picked this one solely based on the title, but if you were to ask around, I am certain you would find no one who would say that it's not the Loveliest and Wordiest of titles. None who would not be lying through their awful teeth, that is.
Credit for the the delightful musical accompaniment:

The crude and simple cover designed by the reader, whose talents lie in many things, but apparently not in any particular artistic endeavor.

Fandom: Newsies
Relationship(s)/Character(s): Spot Conlon/Racetrack Higgins
Rating: PG
Word Count: 200
Warnings: none
Summary: Spot wants Racetrack to go home with him.

Spot's eyes flashed when he smiled and Racetrack's stomach flipped over because he'd seen that twinkle and that pretty smile too many times before, just never directed at himself. "No," he forced himself to say through a dry mouth.

"I won't beg, Higgins."

Race thought that was quite possibly the biggest blessing the Lord had ever bestowed on him... )

Summary: Hardison gets a letter he doesn't want.

The letter wasn't postmarked, which set off a thousand alarm bells in Hardison's head.

When all the lights go out, everything gets very cold. Jo doesn't notice right away, but after what she perceives as a few minutes, the cold starts seeping into her bones.

"What's going on?" Hardison says aloud. Parker shrugs.

"We should leave him alone," she says.

There's a note on his fridge that Hardison finds when he and Parker let themselves in to find good leftovers. )
